Have you ever wanted to work as a makeup artist for the media? Are you a fashion stylist and would like to extend your skills so you can create a total look with the makeup and hair?

This course is designed to give participants a real inside look at the Fashion industry and what is expected to succeed. How to achieve the standard required to secure a career within the fashion editorial, music, television, advertising and all other aspects of a contemporary make-up artist.

  • Eye makeup for different eye shapes
  • Photography (black and white and colour)
  • Television requirements
  • Fashion & editorial make-up techniques
  • Developing make-up looks to suit fashion trends
  • Hair styling techniques - straightening, curling, teasing etc
  • Show & catwalk make-up
  • Makeup looks of the 20s through to today
  • Current makeup trends
  • Receiving and giving briefs
  • Marketing for yourself and your business
  • Developing your portfolio

This course is very intensive and will give you the practical and specialist training to embark upon a career as a make-up artist in the media industries. This course will enable students to express, research, develop and realise project concepts.

Students will also do 2 photographic shoots, leaving the course with a selection of professional shots relevant to the make-up industry.

The course is run part time over 12 weeks from 9.30am - 4pm on Sunday's.

Price

$4900 – which includes a $1400 M.A.C. Makeup Kit and also covers the cost of your 2 photoshoots and an A4 print of your selected photo from each shoot at the end of the course.

A $200 Non-refundable course deposit required to enrol. Balance due on course commencement.
