Get started in a makeup career in the fashion and bridal makeup area. Learn the secrets to flawless makeup application, creating high fashion make-up looks and getting started in the industry.

You will learn how to create up to the minute fashion makeup looks by understanding how to interpret fashion trends and develop your creative ideas into a fashion focussed makeup look.

The Course Covers:

• Introduction to the industry. Tools of the Trade: makeup products and brushes.
• Hygiene
• Colour Theory
• Skin types, face shapes, facial contouring and correcting.
• Eye shapes, eye makeup design and applying false eyelashes.
• Bridal Makeup Looks. Dealing with the client.
• Fashion Makeup - researching trends, designing makeup looks for fashion.
• Getting creative - fashion Makeup practise and experimentation.

Course Requirements:

Students are recommended to bring a digital camera with them to each class.

Students will be required to bring a model to selected classes, students will be advised in advance.

Students receive a basic make-up kit and will have use of the school's make-up products during the course.

Qualification

Students who successfully complete the course will receive the nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for the unit: SIBXFAS201A: Design and apply make-up from the Certificate II in Retail Make-Up and Skin Care (SIB20110) qualification.

Graduates are able to continue on to complete the Certificate II in Retail Make-Up and Skin Care, Diploma of Specialist Make-Up Services, Certificate III in Beauty Services, or the Diploma of Beauty Therapy courses and will be eligible for credit or RPL (recognition of prior learning) for the unit completed in this course.

Course Duration:

The course runs from 9.30am - 12.30pm over 8 weeks on Saturday's.

Price:

$950.00. A $200.00 minimum non-refundable deposit is required to enrol and secure a position in the course. The balance of the course fees is due on the course commencement date. (A 5 week direct-debit payment plan with ezypay is available. A $25 admin fee applies to payment plans, information will be sent to students with their confirmation of enrolment).
