If you are able to study full time (3 days per week), then please take a look at our full time Diploma of Screen and Media (Specialist Make-Up Services).

Studying part time one day per week over three years, you will cover the same exciting content as in the full time course. This course is suitable for students in High School who wish to complete the Diploma to obtain points towards their Queensland Certificate of Education.

The Diploma of Screen and Media is designed to prepare students to work as a professional makeup artist and hair stylist for fashion, bridal, retail and special effects. Students will develop a portfolio of work which will include day, evening, bridal and fashion makeup as well as casualty effects, character creation, bald caps and hair application.

During the course students will complete professional photoshoots, of which they will receive prints to include in their portfolio.

Students will be passed on opportunities to do make-up for fashion parades, events, photoshoots and even films during the year. Students will have the opportunity to work with our fashion, photography and styling students and also perform make-up for guest clients of all ages throughout the course.

Students will have the option to sit the ITEC international examination for the Diploma of Fashion, Theatre and Media Makeup at the end of the course. For more information on ITEC visit http://www.itecworld.co.uk

The loan allows students to study now and pay later by deferring loan repayments until your income is above the minimum repayment threshold (in 2015-2016 this is $54,126). Once you reach the repayment threshold repayments are made to the Australian Government through the tax system.
